Everyone has a bucket list. Not necessarily filled with places you want to visit before you die. I mean, there could be an extreme sport you want to try, or a personal achievement that you are adamant should be completed. Travel is on a lot of our lists though, and there are plenty of places to choose from.
Have you ever thought about it? Just a few places in the entire world you’d like to see? Maybe you aren’t much of a traveller, and would prefer to play partypoker than see the world. Fair enough. So what if your top priority is besting your top score? We’re all different. If you were to choose a place to travel to, where would you go though?
Stone Henge
I’ve heard this is a muddy experience, but well worth a look. Why wouldn’t you want to catch a glimpse of one of the wonders of the world? To this day, no one knows what Stone Henge was made for, but it’s stayed up for thousands of years. Empires have been reduced to dust in that time. That’s some sturdy building.
Galapagos Islands – Ecuador
If you are interested in wildlife, this is the home of the multi-coloured iguana, a fascinating creature that it would be amazing to glimpse at least once. Even if you don’t spot one, you’ll have tried. You can take a look at the sunbathing sea lions too, swim with the sharks (they’re harmless!) and stare in awe at the giant tortoises that have been around since … forever.
The Blue Lagoon – Iceland
A geothermal pool that is extraordinary, the Blue Lagoon is tucked away between the black lava landscape of Reykjavik in Iceland. It is truly ethereal with it’s milky blue lake. All the more amazing due to the natural heated seawater that feeds it. Jumping in there just once to smother yourself in white silica mud, is supposed to rival your local day spa.
