Baler: DIY Itinerary & Travel Guide

Baler, Baler, haller Baler! This Aurora town is popularly known for its waves that attracts both surfers and surfer wannabes. But there’s more to Baler than just catching waves and hot surfer bodies. Apparently, there are enough attractions here to satisfy the history buffs, waterfall chasers, beach bums, and foodies alike!

What else is there in Baler? Aside from surfing, me and 7 of my best travel buddies explored and were pleasantly surprised by some of the things we saw. So when in Baler, explore and use all of your senses to maximize the experience. But how do you get there exactly?

HOW TO GET TO BALER

I would strongly recommend securing seats at Genesis Transport and getting on their executive bus, also called the Joy Bus, as they are the only ones who has direct trips to Baler. Not only that, there are no stop-overs, you get complimentary snacks, a morning kit, and they have a stewardess inside! Now that brings the joy to Joy Bus. But they only have 2 trips a day, so in case you miss those, there’s another way to get to Baler.

As an alternative, you may head on to Victory Liner and take an A/C bus going to Cabanatuan. From there, you’ll find van transfers and elbow buses that will take you straight to Baler in a few hours. They’re not the most comfortable rides on the planet, but that’s what you get for not making ealier reservations at the bus that gives joy!

WHAT TO DO IN BALER

Like I mentioned earlier, there’s more to Baler than just surfing. Look at all the cool spots you can visit in case you are too chicken to hop on a surf board. And if these natural beauties are not enough to motivate you to check them out, just imagine that each provides a pleasing backdrop that you may use for a default photo on Facebook.
